Newport Beach

Newport Beach was freezing and windy! Fun stuff!

We also saw a dying seagull. I hope and pray he is okay, flying around eating peoples food, otherwise, RIP Gully

Disneyland

We were so so so lucky to be able to go to Disneyland thanks to my amazing roommate Kay and her amazing mom! It was by far the highlight of our trip
So excited to be there!
Basically, our reason for going to Disney was churros. I believe we ate 3 each. We walked into the park, and the first place we went was to a churro stand. She hadn't even started cooking them yet, but we told her we would wait, so we sat for 10 minutes waiting for the first churro's of the day!
Jungle Cruise
Pirates of the Carribean
Thunder Mountain!
Until this picture I was convinced I couldn't actually frown, just pout. No one frowns at Disney, I was just bummed since Colin's flash on his camera was broken.
Castle

Topmost left corner. I did not enjoy Tower of Terror

Hollywood

Here was our day in Hollywood
Colin was happy to see Bob Marley's star
The Kodak Theater. There is a mall attached to the Kodak Theater, and we were able to park in the parking garage for $2.00 for 4 hours if we got it validated, and wouldn't you know that there was a Hello Kitty store at the mall, that made validating it much easier!
Colin was convinced we were in the Scientologist Temple Square

I don't know about you but this does not sound appetizing, in fact it sounds terrifying.

This is Jose Feliciano's star, who, according to Melanie sings my favorite song "Old Turkey Buzzard"

Soaking wet Santa Monica

So, in one day we did Hollywood, Venice Beach and Santa Monica pier, the latter two in the pouring rain. So we walked up and down the pier, but almost everything was closed because it was raining, so we went to the arcade which was open because it was indoors. There, Colin found out my secret expertise in both Ski Ball and Pinball.

Colin was really excited to play the Rambo game, he often thinks he is in Vietnam.

This was just terrifying! I'm pretty sure if this was above Melanie's CVS, she wouldn't go to work.

After having a bit of a breakdown because I was cold, hungry and tired and not being able to find a cheapish restaurant, we stopped in at this amazing Mexican place, and I ate incredible fish tacos with this amazing cilantro lime sauce. Mmmm, so tasty.
