So I love my cute cousin Vanessa and her husband Ryan. One day I was over at their house and Ryan told me that he flew on a Hello Kitty Airplane from Taipei to Hong Kong. He said at first he and a coworker saw the outside of the airplane with Hello Kitty's face on it, and thought it ended there, but no no, they were in for a surprise! A looked into it as soon as I got home, and to my disappointment I found out that this no longer existed! "In October 2005, EVA Air launched a campaign with Japanese company Sanrio to create the "Hello Kitty Jet," featuring the popular Japanese character. Using the airline's A330-200, the exterior adopted a livery of Hello Kitty characters. A year later, the airline launched a second Hello Kitty Jet. The aircraft featured a Hello Kitty motif on exterior and interior fittings and features. Both planes were used to serve Japanese destinations, and from mid–July 2007, also Taipei-Hong Kong routes. The Hello Kitty livery was retired in 2009." (wikipedia)

I LOVE AMERICA
So tonight, I was going to be bad. I have been on a strict budget and have been very good at it. I have almost completely stopped going out to eat, which was a major reason I needed to budget in the first place. So tonight, my roommate Jessica Jo said "do you want to go out to eat?" she did not have class tonight and she usually does. I said, "no, i cant afford to go out". The more and more time passed the more I wanted to be bad. So I asked her "so where are you going to go out to eat?" and she said "either a Thai place, paradise bakery or chipotle" and with that, i was in! I have been craving chipotle since August when I got it before an acapella festival. I thought in my head, "so long as it's under $10 ill be fine, I can just eat ramen for the rest of the month".
So we get to Chipotle and it is crazy with people, not to long of a line but more people than I have ever seen in there. I notice a pattern and turn to Jess and say "Don't you feel like we are in Provo? There isn't a single person over 30 here". So we get to the counter and Jess says "Why is it so crazy in here?" and the counter man says "Its University of Utah Students Eat Free night. We do it once a year" SO, we got our food completely free! Everything on the menu for FREE! And just to let you know, free tacos taste better than any other kind of tacos.

Things I Learned From Boys While Playing Catchphrase
Did you know what the thing is called that helps you thread a needle while sewing? Well of course, its a "Bobby Pin"!
What happens when a girl doesn't wash her hair for months at a time? Oh yes "Split Ends", how could I forget?

Things I Have Realized- Oct 2010
While reflecting on why I am not dating anyone, I came across and interesting finding. These three comments were made by me, on different occasions with male company. 1."Hmm what do I love? Oh I know, good food. Yes definitely good food and babies." 2. "Oh yes, I hate wet willies more than anything. Well, maybe after genocide." 3. Here is the kicker. "My favorite men are definitely my dad and Bruce Springsteen. Oh and Jesus" It was only after I added the "and Jesus" that I realized the mans horrified look did not come from my omission of our Savior, but the statement itself. Needless to say, I haven't had any dates lately.

Feeling Aussie
This summer I have been hanging out with my Australian friends, Annie, and her twin boys Jono and Alex.

The other night Me, Andrea and Seth (Andrea's brother) were in for some Aussie treats. First we had hot milo with tim tams. Milo is a nestle product that is similar to hot chocolate and malt. Tim tams are chocolate covered biscuit with chocolate sandwiched in the middle. The way you are supposed to enjoy your milo with tim tams is to eat of one corner on each side and then suck the milo up through the biscuit. Next I asked to try some vegemite toast, which was surprisingly good. It was just white bread, butter and vegemite on to. (Vegemite is most famous from its line in the Men at Work song "Down Under").
Finally we had milo another very popular way they eat in in Australia. You fill a glass of milk halfway and then on top scoop in as much milo to fill the glass, usually ten scoops. You do NOT mix the milo and milk. You then dip your spoon into the milo all the way down into the milk so it sticks and eat it. It was pretty yummy.
