Quilt- In Action

On Sunday April 5 2009 I wrote that I wanted to make a quilt by August, with actually no desire to really do it. While still in Amherst, I found a pattern that I liked and seemed simple enough to do for a first quilt, so I bought some fabric that I liked (the paisley print is Michael Miller who I adore). So this is my quilt in action.






I stitched the purple and blue together for some blocks, and the pink stood alone.



So that's my quilt so far, now all I need is my friend Emily to take the night of her busy life and do me a great service by coming over and helping me finish my quilt ;)

Decoupage

Since I am home for the summer and mostly unemployed I have taken to doing projects. I made this collage with a template from petitcollage.com, which Melanie saw on Martha. I love elephants so much so I thought this one was perfect for me.

I Want A Cricut

Lookie what I made! I love the Amherst Ward ladies, they are so stinkin' crafty. I made this little gem with a Cricut that Alissa (my friend in my ward here) has. I just painted some wood black, used white vinyl, printed with the cricut, drilled a hole and made a bow. I think it looks pretty good if I do say so myself. :)

It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Yay! The Sox are back. It's amazing how the Sox are just as much a lifestyle as a team. It's not baseball we look forward to, it's our boys. Yesterday it seemed as though all was well in the world with the team, and my personal favorite was back! I love Mike Lowell, and did even before he got the MVP. We have the whole season to look forward to, and hope that they make us proud, and even if they don't, we love them all the same. My favorite quote by Debbie Evans has to be "I know the whole no man can serve two masters thing, but they didn't take into account Boston. We've got the Red Sox as well."
